We still need help for the BYU game on Oct 2!!! Game starts at 7 p.m.,
with us needing to arrive at 4:30 (no later than 5:30 - which is the
time our stand opens). Please contact Kristi @ 801-717-0646 by Tues.

Don't forget dress code - all white shirt (even a white t-shirt worn
inside out so no printing is showing), long dark pants, and
closed-toe/closed-heel shoes (no clogs, sandals, etc.) Aprons and hats
will be provided at the game!
Thank you all!
Kristi

- 2009-08-26 Update from David Dahlquist regarding Lois Buchanan
Lois passed away this morning (Wed, Aug 26). The family
has requested that the Chorale sing at the funeral. The
funeral service for Lois will be on Saturday, Aug 29 at
11:00 a.m. at the Mountainview Stake Center (the Messiah
building), across from Peteetneet. There will be a viewing
on Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from
9:30 - 10:30 both at the Stake Center.
I am going to suggest to the family that we, the Chorale,
do "Beautiful Savior" That number is memorized already, so
we won't need folders. For those who are available and can
sing.... let's meet at that stake center at 10:00 a.m. in
the chapel to set seating and warm up.
NO CHORALE OUTFITS..... SUNDAY DRESS. Please get the word
out.
Questions..... get back to me.
Dave
- 2009-08-25 Message from David Dahlquist regarding Lois Buchanan
Lois Buchanan went in for a double knee replacement on
Wednesday, Aug 19. She survived the surgery, but the next
night (Thursday Aug 20), she stopped breathing and was
rushed to ICU. They got her breathing again but she has
remained in a comatose state since then. They put her on
a ventilator to facilitate her breathing, but after an EEG
yesterday afternoon (Sunday) showed massive brain damage
and the likelihood that she would not come out of the coma
(or if she did, with very limited abilities), her family
decided this afternoon (Monday) to have the ventilator
removed and any heroic means to prolong her life stopped.
(Those feelings were also Lois's)
As of Monday night, she continues to breathe on her own and
the family has been informed that it could be hours, days,
or perhaps weeks before she finally lets go. Her family
has asked that when the time comes, they would like the
Chorale to sing at the funeral. Obviously, we're not there
yet because the major decision yet to be made is out of all
of our hands..... but wanted you all to know.
We'll keep you posted.
